Teenage tempo bowler Kate Wilmott says she is “actually excited” to be amongst 5 Jamaicans named within the West Indies Girls’s 15-member squad to tour Pakistan between April and Could.
The 19-year-old newcomer joins compatriots former regional staff skipper Stafanie Taylor, Chedean Nation, Chinelle Henry, and Rashada Williams — all with West Indies expertise — in a bunch to be led by Barbadian Hayley Matthews.
“I’m excited, to be trustworthy. It may very well be my first time enjoying worldwide cricket, so I’m actually excited in regards to the alternative,” Wilmott, who hails from New Works district in Westmoreland, informed the Jamaica Observer on Saturday.
Her call-up comes after robust performances for double champions Jamaica in the course of the Girls’s Super50 and T20 Blaze competitions in St Kitts and Nevis.
