Description: The Pantéon introduces one in all Cybil’s most up-to-date physique of works, the Diaspora Vodou Survival Equipment. This portfolio explores the syncretic system established by the African diaspora throughout oppressive instances so as to conceal their non secular traditions as an act of resistance and resilience.
This collection examines how these traditions reinvent themselves so as to adapt to new situations. Moreover, it explores how diaspora identities are constructed by incorporating African American he/she-roes as trendy icons, thus turning into the archetypes of a brand new world.
