Amongst these, “Tropical is Political: Caribbean Artwork Beneath the Customer Financial system Regime,” is a forthcoming exhibition curated by Marina Reyes Franco on the Americas Society, in collaboration with the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Puerto Rico. This exhibition—that includes works by Gwladys Gambie, Allora & Calzadilla, Carolina Caycedo, Sofía Gallisá Muriente (see work proven above), Abigail Hadeed, Joiri Minaya, José Morbán, Dave Smith, Yiyo Tirado, and Oneika Russell, amongst others—will open in Fall 2022. In Fall 2022, Tropical is Political: Caribbean Artwork Beneath the Customer Financial system Regime opens at Americas Society, in collaboration with the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Puerto Rico. The present will discover the themes of paradise and monetary paradise, analyzing their geographical coincidence within the Caribbean, the place tourism and finance encompass the “customer financial system,” a time period referring to the financial exercise of people that go to a spot.
