New E-book—“El sujeto develado. Autoimagen y fotografía contemporánea en Puerto Rico” – Repeating Islands


The Dr. Pío López Martínez Museum of Artwork of the College of Puerto Rico in Cayey (UPR-Cayey) introduced the publication of the e-book El sujeto develado. Autoimagen y fotografía contemporánea en Puerto Rico [The Unveiled Subject. Self-image and contemporary photography in Puerto Rico] which addresses the analysis that led to the eponymous exhibition on the college museum in 2019.

The publication, which is sponsored by the Puerto Rican Basis for the Humanities and the Nationwide Endowment for the Humanities, presents an essay by the venture’s curator, Mariel Quiñones Vélez, during which she discusses and revalues up to date inventive manufacturing in Puerto Rico round pictures and self-representation.
