Description: Creole Religions of the Caribbean presents a complete introduction to the overlapping religions which have developed because of the creolization course of. Lizabeth Paravisini-Gebert is Professor of Caribbean tradition and literature within the Division of Hispanic Research and The Environmental Research Program at Vassar School, the place she holds the Sarah Tod Fitz Randolph Distinguished Professor Chair. She is the creator of a variety of books and is coeditor with Fernández Olmos of Therapeutic Cultures: Artwork and Faith as Healing Practices within the Caribbean and its Diaspora.
