Description: West Strand Artwork Gallery is happy to open its second season with METAPHORS, an exhibition that includes work, collages, drawings and sculptures by artists Rodriguez Calero, Josh Kramb, Eliezer Parrilla, and Nitza Tufiño. Collectively this participating group of artists share a surrealist aesthetic strategy to metaphor and narrative, a refined subtext expressed in distinctive mediums and types. The works on view handle points akin to gender and racial boundaries; emotional states of thoughts; Jungian archetypes and the unconscious; in addition to discover historic, cultural and political context.
