Petra Bravo’s “Simulacro” – Repeating Islands


Beta-Native presents SIMULACRO, a dynamic work, and the ultimate piece of the Creative-Historic Analysis Laboratory by Petra Bravo. The three performances—Tuesday Might 30, Wednesday Might 31, and Thursday June 1—will happen on the Julia de Burgos Theater on the College of Puerto Rico- Río Piedras at 8:00pm.

Description: For the previous 9 months the lab members have been rehearsing below the course of choreographer Petra Bravo. This analysis undertaking focuses on varieties and poetic manifestations to create dance, ranging from poetic texts which might be interpreted from experimental dance or the dance of “gesture,” producing fusions between phrase and physique. In SIMULACRO, taking part artists with Laboratory scholarships are: Marili Pizarro, Nere Rivera, Marisa Gómez, Karlo Martínez, Norberto Collazo, and Jaime Maldonado. Rosa Lina Lima is a visitor dancer, and Maritza Plannel, together with Pepín Lugo, accompany the forged as performers.
