This November marks the forty fourth anniversary of the dying of Cuban artist Juan Francisco Elso, who died from most cancers on the age of 32 in 1988. Elso is understood for being a distinguished member of the Renaissance motion in post-revolutionary Cuba within the Nineteen Seventies, creating sculptures that later obtained worldwide recognition. His life was reduce quick, however a brand new exhibition at El Museo del Barrio, Juan Francisco Elso: Por América, shows Elso’s artwork alongside work from over thirty colleagues and modern artists based mostly in Latin America.
