Kevin Adonis Brown’s newest work, “A Sense of Arrival: An Exhibition of Essays,” opened on October 20 and runs till November 14, 2022, at Medulla Artwork Gallery in Woodbrook, Trinidad. Featured within the exhibition are works from his forthcoming eponymous guide.
These visible essays, in line with Browne, are “a meditation on the complexities of Caribbean being—a memoir impressed by the precarity of the current.” Browne approaches a few of our acquainted Caribbean realities in new methods—“new,” within the experiential sense of attending to know and of coming to be recognized.
Browne’s award-winning visible and written work has beforehand existed on the intersection of pictures and inventive nonfiction. In A Sense of Arrival, he extends past these boundaries, reaching into the three-dimensional with a consideration of objects-as-texts in his try to articulate what rests on the coronary heart of the Caribbean story.
