Description: “Ladies’s Work,” that includes artwork created by Eliana Calle Saari in tribute to the work of ladies throughout the pandemic, in Gallery 2001 in Ohio Wesleyan’s Beeghly Library, 43 Rowland Ave., Delaware.

For a number of months in 2020, Saari was locked down behind the closed borders of the Caribbean Island of Antigua. The prints and books on show doc her observations of the ladies of this island nation who continued to satisfy their responsibility as staff, moms, and caretakers in a time of uncertainty, concern, and hope. This physique of labor is Saari’s love letter to girls who present power and perseverance within the face of adversity.
